The Sentinel has presented himself to the world, and for the young people of the planet he has immediately turned into a media sensation.
A huge rally is organised in the shadow of the pyramids outside Cairo The young people of the world travel from all over the globe to attend the rally and to hear the Alien Messiah speak.
The atmosphere is like an awesome global rock concert, mixed with the hysteria of a newfound religion, and the youthful hope for a new tomorrow.
I fantasise about playing a huge outdoor festival, kicking into this track, and seeing thousands of people bounce up and down with their are hands in the air, waiting in anticipation for Paul’s speech!
Okay okay I know I am sad!
I like its middle-eastern flavour and the use of the Arabic Scale. This should really bounce along live.
I love loads about this track. I suspect that live I am going to love doing it, that’s where it belongs, its very hard to get across the meaning of the track without being at a Rally of this nature.
Again Niall’s infamous melody painting abilities does it for me. The speech was a challenge, being Scottish and trying to sound as If I have the finest BBC English but it works well and is particularly haunting with the headphones on.

Or “Mid East” as it was formerly known due to its eastern melodic theme. A fairly straightforward track with a “live” feel. Virtually first take on the drums. Breaks down to half time feel in the middle and drum part develops with a staccato (ish) bass drum pattern.
I think the main riff came from the “Niall’s box of unfinished bits”. GBM came up with the speech idea and Paul, as always, rose to the challenge.
This is going to be good live.
