The perfect prelude to Violet Sky, a set up like no other in my book. When we do this live, I need to feel ready to emote the meaning of Violet Sky and this does it, it settles me down, even during the buzz of a big show.
I have seen actual tears from people during this and Violet Sky. Quite something to be a part of to be honest.

The title “Blackwood” comes from a Family name that has been passed down through the generations on my Fathers side.
The track is unchanged from my original recording apart from the beautiful vocal of Melissa Allan who nailed it exactly the way I had written it.
